RedTurtle's Stefano Marchetti and Giacomo Spettoli will be in Brasilia, on October 2 to 4, where, at the Ulysses Guimarães Convention Center, will take place the Plone Conference 2013 and PythonBrasil, organized by the PloneGov-BR community with the support of the Python Brazil Association and the Plone Foundation. The full calendar of events, with 150 presentations and over 30 international speakers, can be checked at the pages of the online talks schedule. As part of the "Plone Government" session of Friday, October 4, Stefano Marchetti will deliver the talk "Plone as a tool to promote citizen-driven public policies" on the project of the so-called 'Participation City Squares' of the Emilia Romagna region, going under the name of "IoPartecipo +", that on September 19 will receive the national Italian eGOV award by Maggioli Editore.
Plone is the most widespread CMS in the Brazilian government. One of the major users is the Interlegis Legislative Brazilian Institute (ILB), an organ of the structure of the Senate also responsible for the actions and training of government officials. Interlegis will host a sprint on 5 and 6 October, to improve practices and contribute to the free software community. The training program is available online.
