Plone, from Mirandola to the UCMAN

Mar 26, 2013

A new Customer for our Plone solutions: after a careful evaluation, the Union of Communes of Modena's Northern Area - including two Customers of ours, Mirandola and Camposanto - has chosen Plone for its new website
Plone, from Mirandola to the UCMAN

The Union of Communes of Modena's Northern Area (UCMAN) decided to change the technology of its current site. In a few months, even the UCMAN, following the successful example of Mirandola and Camposanto, two members and historical RedTurtle customers, will adopt Plone for its institutional website, which initially will adopt - with graphical customizations - the set of functionality of the City of Mirandola website.
UCMAN's aim is to extend the contagion to other Municipalities in the Union, whose citizenship may in the future take advantage of websites sharing a common "look and feel". The advantages for the municipalities and the Union as a whole, are of course better functionalities, more uniform technology and, ultimately, lower costs.
A typical operation in the style of PloneGov Italia, and also the result of the awareness about software reuse that RedTurtle promotes among its Customers.
