Padova, ContènTOUR - a success beyond expectations

The 3 November event was unique from many points of view: a stop of the ContènTOUR, a PloneGov event, and a showcase for the City of Padua, best practice in the active reuse of software.

Despite the risk of flooding because of the enduring bad weather, the number of registered participants, about one hundred, exceeded the capacity of the confortable "Sala degli Anziani" that the Commune put at disposal of the event. The businesses organizing the ContènTOUR were hosted in the nearby "Sala Palladin", where they met several Public Organizations, and were represented by Cesare Brizio in the final Round Table chaired by Prof. Miranda Brugi from ANCITEL.

The reuse model proposed by PloneGov was proposed as particularly successful: in general, the vision on the free software market proposed by RedTurtle and its partners demonstrated not only its capacity of reconciling the needs of the Public Organizations, of the Citizens and of the businesses, but also to avoid conflicts with the current regulatory scenario.
